Growth sounds exciting when we talk about it from a distance.

More customers. More employees. More opportunities. More revenue. A larger company. A bigger vision.

Then growth arrives — and suddenly the person who built the beginning has to figure out how to lead what it has become.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 8 PM EST, The People’s Podcast, presented by Unseen Twisted Truths LLC, welcomes entrepreneur, educator, author, and business leader Edward DuCoin for a conversation we are calling:

SURVIVING YOUR OWN GROWTH

This is not simply a conversation about how to become successful.

It is about what happens when success creates an entirely new set of responsibilities, pressures, decisions, relationships, risks, and lessons.

From $500 to a Publicly Traded Company

Edward DuCoin began his entrepreneurial journey in 1984 and built Impact Marketing from a modest beginning into an organization that eventually became publicly traded on NASDAQ.

His career has included building and scaling businesses, raising more than $20 million in venture capital, conducting business internationally, developing strategic and operational plans for numerous companies, and navigating the economic disruption surrounding the 2008 banking crisis.

Impact Marketing also earned Inc. 500 recognition three times.

Edward’s career later included involvement with Liberty Bell Bank, serving as president of Bang Racing, working as COO of Purify Solutions, and developing additional businesses and digital properties.

Through all of those experiences came something that cannot be measured only through revenue, employees, awards, or expansion:

Lessons.

Lessons about leadership.

Lessons about people.

Lessons about responsibility.

Lessons about what happens when circumstances change faster than the person or company experiencing them.

And lessons about rebuilding.

Orpical Technology Solutions

Following the upheaval surrounding the 2008 financial crisis, Edward began developing what became Orpical.

Founded in 2012, Orpical Technology Solutions operates in digital transformation, custom software development, artificial intelligence integration, technology strategy, business process automation, growth strategy, and operational support.

Today, Edward is a co-founder and partner of the company.

Orpical has been recognized among the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Top 50 Fastest-Growing Companies, and the company continues working with organizations on technology and business transformation.

Business Is Only Part of His Story

Edward’s experience also reaches into education.

He is a graduate of The Wharton School and holds an MBA. He has taught business at the university level and, in 2026, is serving as an adjunct professor of business at Montclair State University.

His work with students, entrepreneurs, companies, and emerging technology gives us another layer to explore Tuesday night:

How does a leader continue learning while leading?

Because growth does not only require a company to change.

Sometimes the person leading it has to change too.

What Happens When Growth Tests You?

People spend enormous amounts of time preparing for the possibility that something will fail.

What happens when it works?

What happens when the small company becomes a large company?

What happens when your decisions begin affecting hundreds of people?

What happens when the business environment changes?

What happens when the systems that helped you reach one level cannot carry you into the next one?

And what happens when professional growth forces personal growth?

Tuesday night, we are going beyond the highlight reel.

We want to talk about what happens between the milestones — the decisions, pressure, mistakes, adjustments, relationships, leadership, resilience, and responsibility required to keep moving.

Indicted Loyalty, Convicted Logic

Edward is also working on his forthcoming book, Indicted Loyalty, Convicted Logic.

The book draws from Edward’s own experience navigating business, loyalty, legal challenges, resilience, and the American criminal justice system across a period spanning nearly two decades.

Edward has written publicly about the experience and about issues including mandatory minimum sentencing, plea bargaining, judicial discretion, public defense, and criminal justice reform.

The book adds another dimension to the idea of surviving your own growth.

Sometimes growth comes from expansion.

Sometimes it comes from success.

Sometimes it comes from surviving circumstances you never expected to encounter.

Indicted Loyalty, Convicted Logic is forthcoming. Edward’s official website currently lists the book for a 2026 release. A public purchase page is not currently listed there, so we will not direct readers to an unofficial seller.

Can You Survive Becoming Who Your Next Level Requires?

That may be the deeper question behind Tuesday’s conversation.

Growth is not exclusive to business.

People grow.

Relationships grow.

Responsibilities grow.

Ideas grow.

Dreams grow.

Sometimes we finally reach something we spent years trying to create and discover that reaching it was only one part of the journey.

Now we have to learn how to carry it.

How do you remain grounded while everything around you expands?

How do you recognize when an old strategy no longer works?

How do you recover when circumstances change?

How do you continue leading when you are still learning?

And how do you survive your own growth without losing sight of who you are?

Those are the conversations we want to have.
