Dame Bull: If They Don’t Believe in You, Make ’Em

From making his first beat at seven to building his own lane, Dame Bull turns pain, emotion and real-life experience into music people can relate to.

There is no character behind Dame Bull.

The name itself comes directly from Damian Bullock. His family shortened Damian to “Dame” when he was young, and later he added “Bull” from his last name. It is simple, personal and fitting for an artist whose music is rooted in exactly that—the real person behind the name.

“I’d say my sound is different. It’s not something you get every day. It has feelings, pain—something you can relate to.”

For Dame Bull, music began long before there was an artist name, a release strategy or an audience listening. At four or five years old, he was already sitting in on his Uncle Earl’s jam sessions, absorbing an environment that would eventually become part of his own story.

By seven, he had made his first beat.

He knew he was good at it.

Around eleven or twelve, rapping entered the picture almost casually. Dame would play around with rhymes in the car, not yet treating those moments as the beginning of a career. His brother heard something more. That recognition led to a connection with ALIM and, by fourteen or fifteen, Dame Bull had recorded his first feature.

Years later, he is still making music—but now with a much clearer understanding of who he is, what he wants his music to carry and the lane he intends to create for himself.

Raw, Personal and Relatable

Dame Bull does not describe his sound by trying to squeeze it into a familiar box. What separates his music, in his eyes, is what he puts inside of it.

Feelings.

Pain.

Life.

His approach is raw and uncut, built around emotions and experiences that listeners can recognize in themselves. Instead of trying to sound like what people are already accustomed to hearing, Dame is working toward a space that belongs to him.

“I’m just trying to get out there and make a name for myself and a lane for me to ride in.”

That desire to create his own lane is important. Dame Bull is not presenting himself as an artist who has already reached the end of his story. He is building in public, releasing music, developing his brand and allowing listeners to discover who he is along the way.

And one of the clearest introductions to that person is “365.”

365: Step Inside Dame Bull’s World

For Dame Bull, “365” is more than another song to promote.

It is personal.

“It’s more of a story about my life. It just kinda lets you inside and get to know me personally.”

That description says a great deal about the relationship Dame wants between himself and the people listening. His music is not simply about being heard; it gives listeners access to pieces of the person creating it.

“365” opens that door.

Rather than separating Damian Bullock from Dame Bull, the record brings the two closer together. The emotions, pain and experiences that shape his sound are allowed to exist without being polished into something unrecognizable.

For a new listener asking who Dame Bull is, “365” offers an answer through his own perspective.

Building the Name

Dame Bull is currently focused on something fundamental: building his name and his brand.

That means continuing to create even while the larger opportunities are still developing.

At the time he shared his story with Unseen Twisted Truths, Dame was competing through Orbiiit in the Timbaland-associated contest and had reached the #1 position in his group. Rather than treating a competition as the destination, however, he has continued preparing what comes afterward.

Music videos are in development.

New music is planned weekly.

A live unplugged project is being edited and mixed, with Dame targeting late September 2026 for its release.

He is also preparing a second EP with King Rush81, which he anticipates releasing around the second week of October.

And beyond those projects, Dame Bull is working on his own album.

The amount of material he has created gives him room to introduce himself gradually instead of waiting for one project to carry the entire weight of his career.

For now, his plan is straightforward: keep releasing music and give people the opportunity to get to know Dame Bull.

Nobody Wants It More Than You

There is a philosophy underneath that work ethic.

Dame Bull has learned not to place the responsibility for his future in someone else's hands.

“Just do it yourself. Nobody wants it more than you do, and if they don’t believe in you, make ’em.”

For an independent artist, those words carry particular weight.

Music can involve waiting—waiting for someone to listen, support, share, book, invest or finally recognize what an artist believes he already possesses.

Dame's response is movement.

Create anyway.

Release anyway.

Build anyway.

And when belief does not come automatically, give people something that makes ignoring the work increasingly difficult.

That mindset is becoming part of Dame Bull's identity just as much as his sound.

Beyond the Music

Perhaps one of the most revealing things about Dame Bull has nothing to do with becoming a successful recording artist.

Asked what he would do if music disappeared tomorrow, his answer did not involve finding another spotlight.

It involved children.

Dame said he would start an after-school program focused particularly on helping kids growing up without fathers. His vision is practical: teach them how to work on cars, create summer employment opportunities such as cutting grass, and simply be present to help wherever he can.

That answer reveals another side of the man listeners meet through the music.

Success, for Dame Bull, has the potential to become more than what he can build for himself. There is also an awareness of what can be built for someone coming behind him.

The same principle that drives his music—learning, doing and not waiting for somebody else—could one day become something he passes forward.

A child learning to work on a car may seem far removed from a seven-year-old making his first beat.

Maybe it isn't.

Sometimes somebody simply needs access, instruction and another person willing to recognize potential early.

Dame Bull knows something about that.

His uncle gave him a room where music was happening.

A neighbor showed him how to use a beat machine.

His brother heard something in those early rhymes and helped connect him to his first feature.

Years later, Dame can imagine becoming that kind of presence for someone else.

Dame Bull Is Damian Bullock

That may ultimately be the simplest way to understand the artist.

Dame Bull is not an identity Damian Bullock puts on when the music starts.

Dame Bull is Damian Bullock.

The childhood nickname, the family name, the pain, the emotion, the lessons, the ambition and the desire to give something back all belong to the same person.

His career is still being written.

There are releases coming. Videos are being developed. Collaborative projects are being finished. An album is taking shape. New listeners are finding the music, and Dame is continuing to establish the lane he said he wants for himself.

He is not asking people to believe based solely on what he says he can become.

He intends to give them something to believe in.

Because Dame Bull has already decided what happens if they don't.

He'll make 'em.
